Why is Wellness so Important to Me?

Hello, I’m Dr. Yas. I believe that health gives us access to everything else in life, allowing us to do the things we enjoy. It allows us to spend quality time with friends and family.

Wellness helps us understand our higher purpose. We can be connected with the creator, and pursue the life we were meant to live.

Currently, there is just way too much unnecessary pain and suffering in our society.

It is important to me that every women be exposed to the truth, have her options available, and therefore make the most educated decisions.

We all want to be pain and symptom free and there are a variety of solutions to bring about healing and a state of health to the body.

So why is being healthy important to you?

What is YOUR why?

About Dr. Yas

I was inspired to become a doctor by my pediatrician at a very young age. There was just something about her that I admired and felt compelled to pursue the profession of medicine. Throughout my childhood and early adulthood, I was treated by traditional medical doctors for ailments that I experienced, as I did not have exposure to any alternative medicines or therapies. While I was taking my pre-medical courses in college, I also developed a great interest in psychology. As I was determining the next steps to further my education, I stumbled upon the field of naturopathic medicine and was thrilled to find a sector of medicine that would allow me to practice medicine in a holistic fashion – taking into account the body, mind, and spirit. I received my doctorate from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (currently known as Sonoran University of Health Sciences) in 2015, where I acquired extensive medical training in both conventional and traditional medicine. I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the State of Arizona and have the honor of serving the women of the greater Phoenix area.

Before and throughout my medical school journey, I experienced my own health concerns, including digestive and hormonal imbalances. I am extremely grateful to have worked with knowledgeable naturopathic doctors who taught and empowered me to overcome these imbalances naturally. I now have the honor of helping other women be able to do the same.

During my down time, I love exploring new hiking trails with my husband, being involved in our church, and experimenting in the kitchen by making healthy meals and treats.

To your greatest health,

Dr. Yasaman Meek
